Free Music

In 1975, I joined some college friends for Christmas caroling around a local neighborhood. This first group had four women and one other man. The SATB arrangements were traditional. We referred to them as the John Hancock Carols simply because that company had small booklets of the public domain carols that were freely available at their offices.

This tradition continued for several years and the size of the group swelled at times to 50 people including children and grandchildren.

I don’t know if John Hancock still prints the booklets, but the print was too small for our aging eyes anyway. Those public domain carols are now available elsewhere on the Internet. Over the years, I had written a few arrangements for this group, and I offer them freely to you on this page. If your group performs them, I'd look to hear it. Send me a link.
